This decision was announced internally on February 1, 2008. In order to inform the scientific community at large about the strategically important investment in integrative biology, IBSI will organize and host an international launch conference on October 18-21, 2008. This conference will highlight a spectrum of facets of integrative biology and present innovative approaches toward a better understanding of the multi-scale, complex organization of biological systems.
